SoldPrices.uk is a UK-based property data service operated by an independent developer in the United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect

a) Information you provide

• Search queries (e.g. postcode, town, address)
• Any information you submit via contact forms or email

We do not currently require user accounts, but this may change in future.

b) Automatically collected data

When you use the service, we may collect:

• IP address (treated as personal data under UK GDPR)
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and usage activity

This information is collected via standard server logs.

c) Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies. We use the following:

• Essential cookies — session keeps you signed in and protects forms; ARRAffinity and ARRAffinitySameSite are set by our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) to route your requests to the same server. The site cannot work without these.
• Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, kept for up to 2 years) to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It is used for statistics only: Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can turn analytics off at any time. Your choice is stored in your browser and applies to this site on this device. We also switch analytics off automatically if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

3. How we use your data

We use data to:

• Provide search results and property data
• Improve and develop the service
• Monitor performance and usage trends

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

4. Lawful basis for processing

We process personal data under the lawful basis of legitimate interests, including:

• Operating and maintaining the website
• Improving functionality and user experience
• Ensuring security and preventing misuse

• Server logs (including IP addresses): retained for up to 30 days
• Contact enquiries: retained as long as necessary to respond and for basic record-keeping
• Anonymous usage and search data: may be retained for analytical purposes

6. Property data

Property transaction data displayed on SoldPrices.uk is sourced from publicly available datasets (e.g. HM Land Registry). We do not collect or process personal data about property owners or buyers.

7. Third-party services

We use the following third-party providers:

• Microsoft Azure — hosting infrastructure (West Europe data centre)
• Google Analytics — website usage statistics (see Cookies and analytics above)
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — geocoding and mapping
• Ordnance Survey — postcode and geographic data

These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Some providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place.

8. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Because we do not link usage data to identifiable individuals, the amount of personal data we hold is minimal.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be shown on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
